Early Life
Born James Failla on December 17, 1976, in Levittown, New York, he grew up in a working-class family on Long Island. He attended Division Avenue High School before enrolling at Nassau Community College.
The Cab Driver Who Became a Comedian
Before comedy, Failla spent several years driving a cab in New York City, working the job from roughly 2008 to 2010. The gig became his unofficial comedy training ground — years of overhearing and bantering with strangers sharpened the observational, everyman style that still defines his act. He later turned some of that material into the viral video “Snakes in a Cab” and a book, Follow That Car!: A Cabbie’s Guide to Overcoming Fears (2013).
His stand-up career picked up steam through the early 2010s. He hosted the radio show Off the Meter with Jimmy Failla from 2010 to 2015, and in 2014 he was named Outstanding Male Comedian of the Year at the New York City Nightlife Awards. A one-hour stand-up special, State of the Union, later streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
Joining Fox News
Failla joined Fox News Media as a writer in 2016. He spent time as head writer and on-air talent for Kennedy on Fox Business before becoming a regular contributor across the network — appearing on shows like The Five, Watters World, The Ingraham Angle, and America’s Newsroom. He’s also written satirical content for A-List Comedy, which is syndicated to radio stations nationwide.
Fox Across America
Failla’s main gig today is hosting Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, a syndicated radio show carried on more than 100 stations along with Fox News Radio and Fox Nation. The show runs on weekday afternoons and mixes political and cultural commentary with his comedic sensibility, aiming — in his own description — to make politics feel like a conversation rather than a shouting match.
In early 2024, Fox News named him host of Fox News Saturday Night, a weekend primetime show, with Failla debuting in the role the weekend before that year’s Iowa caucuses.

Personal Life
